In this age of disruption, most of us are either looking to be part of the next big disruption or worried we will end up being the next one. 

Some time last year, it was bandied around that accountants will be the one of the professions that is most susceptible to disruption.

I, for one, didn't buy into the notion. While it's not hard to imagine the most rudimentary part of book-keeping to be fully automated, a real accountant knows the judgement and discernment part of his job can never truly be replaced. Well at least not till the day when AI can fully replace the cognitive reasoning of the human brain I guess.

So it's great to find an article that shares my same thoughts. Robots won't replace us, but we will definitely look forward to using technology to enhance our services and skill set. 

Who knows, maybe we are on the cusp of being the next big disruption.
